Dr. Jefferson has served in the arts and entertainment industry as a native Southern Californian. She worked as a teen fashion model in Hollywood before gaining extensive film, television, and theater experience. Her background involves corporate television, nationally syndicated talk shows, reality shows, and television commercials. The production roster includes Fox Broadcasting Company, NewsCorp, MTV: The Real World and Road Rules, America's Black Forum, DirecTV, and NBA Entertainment. Dr. Jefferson is a trailblazer with a record of delivering results in all aspects of production and building, marketing, and managing businesses. She is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer in entrepreneurship, leadership, and communication studies.

As a multi-talented executive producer, Dr. Jefferson is thoroughly equipped with on-screen and behind-the-scenes knowledge. The award-winning artist's work embodies inspiring writing, directing, acting, and producing. As a playwright, she produced, directed, and performed in dozens of productions presented at over 65 theaters, auditoriums, and arts and education venues. As an independent filmmaker, she produced and directed the Are You Ready music video distributed nationally on Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). She holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication: Producing for Film and Video from the American University.

Time Will Tell ... Stage I, II & III by Ollie L. Jefferson is a trilogy book series. The adaptation was presented at the Kennedy Center with her daughters, Nailah and Miniya. Her transparent testimony speaks to audiences from all walks of life. Dr. Jefferson's publications aim for social and systemic change as a social scientist who researched stereotypes at Northwestern University, studied abroad at the University of Wollongong in Australia, and graduated cum laude from Johnson C. Smith University (Honors College) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She went on to earn a master's and doctoral degree in communication. Dr. Jefferson's scholarly work seeks solutions to problems in the arts, media, and entertainment industries concerning women and people of color, particularly women of color. She coined the "exemplary representation" theoretical concept and model, which is a defining piece of her research.

Dr. Jefferson has taught communication studies at Howard University, George Mason University, and the University of Maryland at College Park. She enjoys training existing and aspiring industry professionals to compete in the film, theater, and publication industries in a global marketplace. Dr. Jefferson holds graduate Women's Studies and College and University Faculty Preparations certifications. She earned a doctorate in Communication, Culture, and Media studies and graduated in the top 1% of her class at Howard University. Her academic work resulted in a featured story in "HU! You Know!" One year after defending her dissertation with oral distinction, Dr. Jefferson expeditiously broadened her scholarly research for international publication, and as she wrote, "It Ain't Over Yet!"
