Ollie L. Jefferson, Filmmaker

Ollie L. Jefferson, Ph.D., directed and produced her first independent film, "Are You Ready?" She executive produced the music recordings, scouted the film locations, designed the production set and costumes, and cast the on-screen and behind-the-scenes talent. Furthermore, she has served as a consultant to film directors and worked as a film continuity director. Dr. Ollie is pictured at one of her film locations with the Director of Photography, Eric Blair. The music video was featured at the Association of Independent Video and Filmmakers Festival and distributed nationally on Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities presented Dr. Ollie with the Individual Artist Film Award. The grant supported her mission to build Timeless Visual Works and train aspiring and professional artists.
